Massimo "Max" Paolini was born in a small village 40 miles north of Rome, Soriano del Cimino (Viterbo) Italy the 15th of September 1950. He received his artistic training at Via Ripetta, Rome (one of the most important Italian school of the Artistic Nude), and he is also a doctor in Medicine and Surgery (1975). Five years into the practice of medicine, Paolini began to experience a transition in his life from surgeon to artist. Four visits to the Orient (Sri Lanka, India) in four years shaped his way of painting with the natural colors and the tropical atmosphere of those locations influencing his style.
In an era of specialization, Paolini excels in several mediums. Paolini's superb draftsmanship can be seen in his sketches and drawings, combined with a facile use of brush and color colors and a bold use of color and texture as well as a strong sensitivity for his subject matter portrayed in his oils. Paolini is also a photographer, infact several of his photos have been published by “Fotografàre” (italian specialized magazine)..Read all..»
